Abia Comets appoint Kelechi Orji Nnorom as new Sporting Director

Abia Comets, a Nigeria National League (NNL) side, have announced the appointment of Kelechi Orji Nnorom as their new Sporting Director. The experienced football administrator has been given the responsibility of repositioning the club and transforming it into a more professional outfit.

Nnorom’s wealth of knowledge and experience in football administration earned him this important role. He previously served as part of the Nationwide league (NLO) delegates who embarked on a study tour to several football clubs in the United Kingdom in 2020, learning valuable insights from their operations.

The appointment of Kelechi Orji Nnorom comes as part of the comprehensive sports restructuring plan initiated by the newly elected Abia State government, showing the commitment to developing and promoting football in the region.

Abia Comets, however, faced disappointment in their recent campaign, as they failed to qualify for the NNL Super Eight promotion playoffs in Asaba.
