Two neighbouring communities in Abia and Imo states, Uturu and Okigwe, on Thursday joined forces to protest incessant killings and abductions in their respective communities.
The protest started from Ukwunwangwu, near Marist Brothers (Catholic) Secondary School, Uturu up to Okigwe junction of the Umuahia-Enugu Expressway.
The protesters lamented the inaction of the two state governments and security agencies towards the kidnapping and killing of students, lecturers of Abia State University, Uturu, members of the communities, and travellers.
