Abuja-Kaduna train attack: Terrorists make fresh demand from FG
Terrorists who executed the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28, 2022, have asked the government to meet their demands or they will kill the abducted victims with them.
The terrorists who spoke in a video on Wednesday threatened to “turn their abode into an abattoir” if the government fails to do the needful.
Though they failed to identify the specific thing they want, the terrorists disclosed that they are not after money but the government knows what they want and should be fast in meeting their demands.
It was gathered that the terrorists made the threat shortly before they released the managing director of the Bank of Agriculture (BoA) Alwan Ali-Hassan who was one of those captured during the attack on the train.
They claimed to have released Ali-Hassan in the spirit of Ramadan and his old age after he pleaded with them but threatened that others won’t be so lucky if the government fails to meet their demands.
“We are the ones who abducted those people in the train some days ago. You can see them but this one (Ali-Hassan) because of his pleadings and his age, we pitied him, because of the Holy month of Ramadan, we brought him out in order to hand him over to his people.
“But this government has to know what is happening. This is not for anything, we only pitied him. Here is he if he has any further explanation to make, he will speak with his mouth,” one of the bandits said in the video.
The now-released Ali-Hassan who was flanked by the terrorists in the video before his release also begged the government to respond to the demand of the terrorists so others still in captivity can be released.
