AC Milan has added another promising talent to their ranks with the successful signing of forward Noah Arinzechukwu Okafor from Red Bull Salzburg. The 23-year-old Swiss international has committed to a five-year contract, extending his tenure with the club until June 30, 2028.
Okafor’s journey to AC Milan is the result of his remarkable rise through the ranks. Beginning his professional career at Basel, he made his debut in 2018 and quickly displayed his potential, netting seven goals in 54 matches. His impressive performances caught the attention of Red Bull Salzburg, where he continued to shine, scoring 34 goals in 110 appearances and playing a pivotal role in securing four Austrian Bundesliga titles and three Austrian Cups for the club.
The transfer announcement was met with warmth from Salzburg, who took to Twitter to express their appreciation for Okafor’s significant contributions to their team. They wished him well on his new adventure with one of the world’s most esteemed clubs.
Internationally, Okafor made his debut for Switzerland in June 2019 against England. His crucial goal for the Swiss secured their spot in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, and he earned a place in the squad for the finals, featuring as a substitute in three out of Switzerland’s four games.
Born to a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother, Okafor’s diverse heritage adds an intriguing dimension to his footballing journey.
AC Milan’s ambition doesn’t stop with Okafor’s signing. The Rossoneri are also closing in on a deal to bring talented Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze to the San Siro.
