Adeleke kidnapped in Oyo

The Chairman, Iganna Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Olayiwola Adeleke, has been reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

It was learned that the gunmen kidnapped the council boss on Sunday night along the Okeho-Ado Awaye road on his way to Ibadan, the state capital.

According to reports, Adeleke, who was abducted along with his driver, was on his way to meet with the state Governor, Seyi Makinde.

Confirming the incident, State Police Spokesman, Olugbenga Fadeyi said efforts are being intensified to get him released and arrest the culprits.

He added that more information will be released by the state command as soon as the culprits have been arrested.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Oodua Peoples Congress in Oyo State, Rotimi Olumo, said the group had started combing the forests in the area in search of the politician.
