Human rights activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for the remarkable speed and quality of work currently ongoing on the Apo–Karshi Road project in Abuja.

Adeyanju, who is widely recognized as a consistent critic of Wike, acknowledged that the road had been under construction for several years with little progress.

According to him, the renewed pace of work is both visible and commendable, signaling a significant departure from the slow progress that had frustrated commuters and residents for years.

“The Apo–Karshi Road has long been a source of inconvenience for road users, with construction delays causing frustration across communities,” Adeyanju said.

“However, the current momentum and level of work are impressive. Credit should be given where it is due.”

He emphasized that, despite political differences, achievements in infrastructure development should be acknowledged, noting that the ongoing work could significantly improve transportation and economic activity in the FCT.
