Ado council boss embarks on needs assessment tour as traditional rulers laud his leadership style (Photos)

The Transition Chairman of Ado Local Government, Comrade Ogaba James Oche yesterday embarked on Needs assessment tour to Ijigban, Ulayi and Agila Districts. This exercise is coming a day after he led security agencies to quell the crisis in Ulayi and restore peace.

At Ijigban, the Chairman and his team visited the Ijigban Primary Health Center which was in a dilapidated state. The Maternity ward was under lock and key and appeared not to be functional. The Chairman on the spot sent for the staff whom he seriously reprimanded. He further declared the Council’s zero tolerance for the lackadaisical attitude workers especially those in the health sector.

In Ulayi the Chairman visited the Primary Health Center where there was no staff on seat to the dismay of the Council boss and other members of the Council. Hon. Oche also condemned the practice of using hospital premises as farm land stating further that it will no longer be condoned.

To round off day one of the assessment tour, the team proceeded to Apa-Agila where they visited the Palace of the Ots’Agila. The Traditional ruler received the Chairman and his entourage with great joy and expressed optimism that the Council will succeed. He further recalled how past Administrations didn’t find time to take needs assessment. The team proceeded to asses the Apa Health Care Center where the Chairman was briefed on the needs of the Centre. The Chairman was also briefed on the state of the Development Center in the area which was in a state of disrepair.

Earlier while on the tour to Ijigban and Ulayi Districts where the chairman and his entourage as a matter of protocol first visited the palaces of the Ots’ Ijigban and Ots’ Ulayi to receive royal blessings, one of the traditional rulers, Ocheje Onminyi in a keynote address appreciated his leadership style and urged him to do well especially in the area of security of lives and property.
