Ado Council boss partners WEP to train Ado Homeland Defence Organization on community policing

As a follow up on the establishment of the Ado Homeland Defence in tackling the security challenges of the Ado LG by the Care Taker Chairman Comrade James Oche; a Non Governmental Organization, Women Environmental Programme (WEP) has entered into partnership with the council for effective community policing, peace building and preventing violent Extremism through the training of young men and women on alternative dispute resolution methods to eradicate violent extremism in the local Government Area.

The project manager Mr Gai Cliff Commended the council boss Comrade James Oche for taking the bull by the horn towards restoring peace and security to the Local Government via the establishment of the Ado Homeland Defence and advised able bodied young women and men to enlist into the Homeland Defence Outfit as this will gaurantee that the people of Ado Sleep again with their two eyes closed.

Responding, Comrade James Oche appreciated the Women Environmental Programme (WEP) for their prompt partnership with the LG in solving security challanges of the people as there cannot be any meaningful development without peace being in place.

The Comrade chairman further charged traditional rulers to ensure the successful take off the outfit in their various domains by guaranteeing only credible and upright youths in the enlistment process.

Relatedly, the commander Ado Homeland Defence has recovered a motorcycle stolen at Apartment Gate Hotel, Otukpo on Sunday 14 July, 2019.

The machine was sold at a neighbouring village in Ebonyi State where the Commander and the vigilante with the Area police jointly undertook the recovery and the criminals were apprehended.
