Ado Local Government Legislative Council today elected the Leadership of the House with Hon. Emmanuel Ajagbo emerging as Leader and Hon. Friday Aduadu as Deputy Leader.
Addressing the lawmakers shortly after proclaiming the House, Ado Local Government Chairman, James Oche stressed on the need for executive and legislative harmony to advance the welfare of the people and the development of the area. He further reminded the councilors on the need to be committed to duty.
Furthermore, the Chairman in accordance with best practices, promised the lawmakers that he would, in consultation with relevant stakeholders, organize a seminar to improve their legislative exposure so as to add value to the process of decision making in the course of their duty.
Other members of the legislative house who were elected to leadership positions are Hon. Sunday Oche as the Majority Leader and Hon. Sunday Aboh who emerged the Chief whip.
Also Speaking, the PDP Chairman for Ado, Hon. Stephen Aluna congratulated the lawmakers on their election and admonished all of them on the need to stay true to their calling as servants and to remain loyal ambassadors to the party’s supremacy.
Giving the vote of thanks, Clerk of the House, Barr. Sam Edeh appreciated the chairman and the party hierarchy as well as the people for the honour and pledged the loyalty and commitment of the house members to duty.
With this development, the Ado Legislative Council has been fully empowered to commence it duties. It is hoped that, they would contribute to the efforts of the Chairman who is reputed to have been doing so much.
