Ado LG chairman, Hon. James Oche assumes duty, vows to eradicate incessant cases of kidnapping

The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government, Comrade James Oche has formally assumed duty with a warning to mischief makers still residing in any part of Ado to pack their loads and leave as it will no longer be business as usual saying that “enough is enough”

Comrade Oche gave this warning at a Reception organized in his honour at the Local Government Secretariat, Igumale to mark his official inauguration by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom.

Addressing the mammoth crowd that thronged the venue of the reception, an elated Comrade James Oche appreciated God Almighty for making his dream come true and the people of Ado for their massive support during the Council Polls while assuring them that their support will not be in vain. The Council Boss said that the era of kidnappings, banditry and wilful destruction of farms by herdsmen were over in Ado as he was more than ever determined to fight these hitherto security challenges headlong.

The Chairman therefore admonished traditional rulers to sensitize their subjects on the need to fish out the bad eggs in their domain as anyone caught in the act will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

Speaking in the same vein, Dr. Francis Otta, Member representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo at the Federal House of Representatives warned informants of kidnappers to desist forthwith from such acts while promising to work in synergy with the James Oche led administration to stamp out all forms of criminality in Ado.

Also speaking, the Ad’ Ado, Chief Joseph Onazi congratulated Comrade Oche on his resounding victory and pledged their unalloyed support at all times.

Earlier on arrival, Comrade Oche immediately took over the mantle of leadership from the Director General, Services and Administration, Mr. Daniel Ajeh who wished him a successful tenure in office.
