AFCON 2019: How Nigerians rated Idoma-born Moses Simon’s performance against South Africa

Nigerians, particularly football lovers on social media have rated the performance of Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Wednesday night.

Moses, a native of Obagaji in Agatu, Idoma speaking part of Benue State came in for Ahmed Musa with less than 15 minutes to the end of the second half.

His introduction, however, sparked reactions online as many Nigerians faulted the decision of the coach to pull out Musa, who was a menace to the opponents’ defence.

However, the Levante winger shocked his critics after his well taken corner was converted by Troost Ekong to take Nigeria to the semi-finals stage of the competition.

Certainly, SA studied our first 11, however, not the bench. Moses Simon made moses’s kinda move, but with better precision. He took couple of sound corner kicks, which eventually gave us the goal. SA played themselves. Rohr was tactical.

Chukwueze still does way better than Moses Simon even on the right flank but since any change whatsoever is needed at that point in the game, I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot but definitely not on the left flank.

No player suffered in this game like Bafana Bafana’s Mkhize. First, Musa used him to wipe the grass, then Iwobi, then Moses Simon came on and finished the job on him. They all ate him like Banana Banana???.
