AFCON 2021: Eguavoen reveals what Super Eagles will do to Egypt

Interim manager of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Augustine Eguavoen has said that his team will approach their 2021 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, opening tie against Egypt with a lot of confidence and steam.

Nigeria will tackle Egypt in a 2021 AFCON tie in Garoua on Tuesday evening.

Eguavoen’s men are in Group D, alongside Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.

“I look forward to an interesting game between two ambitious teams,” Eguavoen told NFF’s official website.

“As I said a couple of weeks ago, we’ll take it one match at a time. For now, we see the clash with Egypt, and all our plan is how to earn the three points.

“The Egyptians are a strong team and will come with a lot of confidence and steam, but we’ll also be going to the field with a lot of confidence and steam. It’s going to be an interesting evening.”

The kick-off time for the Nigeria vs Egypt game is 5 pm.
