AFCON: Osimhen rejoins Super Eagles squad after clash with Lookman

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was back in training with the team on Wednesday ahead of Nigeria’s quarter-final clash at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports had earlier suggested that Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray in Turkey, threatened to leave camp following an on-pitch altercation with teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s 4–0 win over Mozambique in the last-16 stage.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the matter was resolved internally, and the squad remains focused on their upcoming match against Algeria.

Osimhen joined his teammates in high spirits during training, as the Super Eagles prepare to maintain their momentum in the tournament.
