Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, expressed his belief that replicating their previous significant victory over Sao Tome and Principe would pose a considerable challenge.
In the reverse fixture last June, Peseiro’s team managed to secure a remarkable 10-0 win against the True Patriots. However, as they prepare to face the same opponent in their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Sunday, the Portuguese coach cautioned that achieving a similar scoreline or surpassing it would be a formidable task.
“We want to win this game. We occupy top position in our group and want to finish there,” Peseiro told a press conference.
“We beat them ( Sao Tome and Principe) in the first leg but it will be difficult to have a repeat of same scoreline.”
