AFCON Qualifiers: Lookman, Osimhen On Fire As Super Eagles Beat Benin Republic 3-0 In Uyo

Ademola Lookman grabbed brace to help Nigeria’s Super Eagles to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Benin Republic in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Uyo on Saturday.

Lookman, who just got nominated for the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards got his first goal in the 46 minutes of added time before the first halve.

Victor Osimhen who came from bench netted Nigeria’s second goal 12 minutes from time.

Lookman found the back of the net for the second time of the game in the 82nd minute.

The goals from Lookman and Osimhen take Nigeria to the top of Group D as they prepare for the next tie against Rwanda on Tuesday, September 10.
