A fresh attack at Atuka village, otherwise known as Kangwaza, near Jankasa in Unguwan Gaya district in Atyap chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna state, claimed the life of a boy.
The attack which occurred Monday evening also left one person injured while a house and four vehicles were burnt.
Briefing Daily Trust on the development, the Chairman, Atyap Chiefdom Peace and Security Partnership Committee (ACPSPC), Mr John Bala Gora said the heinous crime was carried out by yet to be identified assailants.
While describing the incident as sad and unwarranted, Gora, who is also the Danmadamin Atyap, appealed to security operatives to step up efforts at containing the security challenges bedevilling the area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State, ASP Muhammed Jalige did not answer calls made to him for the confirmation of the incident.
