The Governor on his way to Gboko for a function this morning, Saturday, 26th February, 2022, stopped over at Abinsi as soon as he sighted stationary trucks loaded with various products whose drivers were being extorted by the illegal revenue collectors.

More than four months ago, the Governor had personally arrested persons who were illegally collecting money from traders and commuters at the same spot at Abinsi.

The Governor and his security aides who could not arrest any of the operators because they took to their heels, however promised to treat anyone apprehended as armed robbers.

He directed the removal of the logs of wood used by the illegal revenue collectors for blockades, stressing that he will personally intensify surveillance on the checkpoint in order to apprehend the perpetrators.May be an image of 3 people and outdoors
