Men of the Nigerian Army on Sunday night reportedly attacked the Benue Internal Revenue Service, BIRS inspection point at North Bank, beating the staff on duty and abducting one of them.
According to one of the staff, who was on duty, the barrier assistant arrested is Abubu Aondoakaa, popularly known as Kaka.
It was gathered that the soldiers after the attack, drove towards Agan toll gate and drove back again and headed back to 72 Barracks with the barrier assistant.
“After about 30 minutes, they came back in 2 Hilux vans without Mr Abubu and chased away the staff who had regrouped, a Benue resident,” Ukan said.
This is coming a few months after soldiers attacked the same agency and killed a revenue inspector in the state.
