Hon. Godday Samuel, the member representing Apa/Agatu Federal constituency at National Assembly has reacted to the recent killing of Okokolo community residents in Agatu local government area of Benue state.
Hon. Godday in a statement issued on Monday 1st July, 2019 condemned the sad incident saying “I received the unfortunate news of the attack on the people of Okokolo at the early hours of today with a heavy heart.
“How do we explain this to the rest of the world that it’s brothers that are killing themselves?
How do we defend ourselves against external aggressions If we can kill ourselves without blinking eyes?
“This dangerous trend of killings must stop, this is alien and sacrilegious to our shared values and culture.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased, may God give them the fortitude to bear these avoidable losses.
“The perpetrators and the sponsors of this heinous crime against our brotherhood and humanity will never go unpunished here on earth and life after. ” He added.
