Ahead of May 29: Governor Suswam finally moves out of Government House, Makurdi

 Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has moved the final parts of his belongings from the Benue State Government House, Makurdi, IDOMA VOICE has exclusively learnt.

Our correspondent gathered that the governor moved his final loads from the State’s House during the weekend.

Suswam is expected to take the exit door from the Government House, Makurdi come May 29.

Dr. Samuel Ortom, who was declared winner of the April 11 gubernatorial election, is expected to step in as the next governor of the state in few weeks time.
Suswam has been administering the state’s political shrine since 2007.
IDOMA VOICE learnt that a vehicle marked with the State government’s registration number was spotted within the Government House premises at about 4pm on Saturday with some boys believed to be working for the outgoing governor moving the final parts of his belongings from the government house.
Efforts to speak with them hit the rocks.
Idoma Voice could not confirm if the Deputy Governor, Steve Lawani has also moved out.
Meanwhile, the governors lodge and the assembly complex is said to be wearing a new look ahead of the official hand over.
