Ahmedu Ocholi: Idoma community mourns as Blackface’s father dies
Tears and tributes have continued to pour in for the late Ahmedu Ocholi.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Ocholi, who is the father of popular dancehall singer, Austin Ahmedu, AKA Blackface, went the way of all mortals after battling an unknown ailment on Thursday.
His son, Austine (Blackface) broke the sad news on his Twitter handle late Thursday night.
He wrote, “Today 8th October 2020 the great Mr. Ahmedu Ocholi passed away
“You played your part well Papa
“You are the first Elder Statesman that our people of Agatu call on to settle any form of dispute!!!
“You served your country well and you are the best dad ever
“Adieu Papa.”
Since the news broke, some natives of Idoma community, particularly Agatu have been seen flooding the singer’s timeline with condolence messages.
They described Mr. Ocholi as a good man who played a vital role in the heat of the Fulani crisis in Agatu.
