Akase speaks on Ortom sustaining support for Benue’s creative industry

Special Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media and Publicity, Mr Terver Akase says his principal will continue to support the creative industry to enable talented young people of the state to realize their dreams.

The Special Adviser who represented Governor Samuel Ortom at the launch of a musical album titled “Kper- Tomorrow”, composed by a Benue-born female friend singer, Sonia Ambe, popularly known as ‘Sonaya’, held Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Empire Suites, Makurdi noted that youth of the state have continued to excel in every endeavour.

He stated that Benue youths have continued to lift the badge of the state to higher levels in music, sports and other aspects of entertainment.

Mr Akase reiterated Governor Ortom’s commitment to making Benue a hub of the creative industry in the country and enjoined the youths to showcase their initiatives, emphasising that the Government is willing to offer them the necessary support to excel.

While commending Sonaya for her efforts, the Governor’s representative stated that “she represents one of Benue’s best brands that must be promoted and encouraged.”

He further urged other Benue born artistes never to look down on themselves but to be proud of their modest progress, saying the people of the state are proud of them.

Chairman of the occasion and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Tivlumun Nyitse, in his remarks, pledged to always support Benue artistes to excel in their careers.

He acknowledged the contributions of Sonaya in positively projecting the image of the state and encouraged up and coming young talents to emulate her example.

Majority Leader, Benue State House of Assembly and member representing Gwer-West Constituency, Rt. Hon. Damian Cheme lauded the focus of the singer and urged her to keep the flag flying.

The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly and PDP Governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Rt Hon Titus Uba represented by his Principal Special Assistant, Jacob Angor , Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), Mrs Mimi Adzape-Orubibi, represented by Michael Bito delivered separate goodwill messages at the album launch which also featured performances by renowned artist Rapizo, among others.
