Godswill Akpabio, former two-time Governor of Akwa Ibom State and Majority Leader of the Senate, has formally finalised his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking on Wednesday August 8th, 2018 at a rally organised for him at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium, Akpabio said: “Let the world know I’ve joined APC; I’m now a progressive.”
He also mocked his PDP colleagues, saying: ‘I want to tell my PDP brothers that I left behind, ‘eeeyahhhh.’”
