Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, recently made a revelation, stating that President Bola Tinubu skillfully avoided a potential conflict by carefully selecting his appointments for the positions of Secretary to the State Government (SGF) and Chief of Staff (CoS).
According to Sani, Tinubu’s appointments of George Akume, a former Interior Minister, as the new SGF, and Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as his CoS, helped him evade a troubling situation.
Sani further elaborated that if Tinubu had appointed someone he referred to as “Mr. Over Sabi,” it would have caused a rift between Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The specific details regarding the potential discord and the identity of “Mr. Over Sabi” were not disclosed by Senator Sani. However, his statement highlights the careful considerations made by President Tinubu in his appointments to ensure a harmonious working relationship within his administration.
Tweeting, Sani wrote: “If Tinubu had appointed ‘Mr Over Sabi’ as SGF or Chief of Staff, he would have sown the seed of discord between the President and the Vice President, Speak and move around as more important than the two. Tinubu has dodged a Poisonous knife.”
