The Sankera United People’s Assembly rose from her meeting of the 26th day of December 2020, and took a swipe at the use of abusive and derogatory language by Sen. George Akume against our son, brother, and symbol of Sankera politics His Excellency Senator Dr. Gabrail Suswam PhD CON.
This group equally condemns in strong terms the desecration of the revered institution of the TorTiv, His Royal Majesty, Orchivirigh Prof. James Ayatse, and other traditional rulers like Hrh Hilary Ikima Ter Kwande, Hrh, PP Iortyer Tor Kwande, Hrh, Uganden Tor Jechira, Hrh, Anageende Tor Lobi, Hrh Jimmy Meeme, Ter Logo, and other prominent sons of Tiv, like Prof. A A Ijoho SAN, Secretary to the State Government (SSG)to the government of Benue State.
In the statement of condemnation of the continuous use of abusive language as expression of unwarranted anger against Tiv people by the defeated senatorial candidate of the APC in the 2019 national assembly elections, the group further noted that since the minister has chosen to stoop so low to the use of gutter language, this group has vowed not to idle by as he insults their illustrious son in such disparaging and dispacable and manner.
The group therefore calls on the defeated APC candidate in 2019 elections Senator George Akume to tender unreserved public apology to HE. Senator Torwua Suswam PhD, CON. the Tor Tiv, Tiv Traditional Council and all those he insulted in the infamous leaked audio call, with immediate effect.
The group further calls on all Tiv, and Benue sons and daughters to rise above politics of hate, selfishness, and verbal thuggery such as expressed by the desperate minister.
Finally, and more importantly, the group resolved to hold Senator George Akume responsible for any hurt, to the person or image of Senator Gabriel Torwua Suswam PhD. CON since his intentions are very clear and unambiguous.
A stitch in time, saves nine.
