A State High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State has granted an order of interim injunction restraining Hon. Nse Ntuen from parading himself as the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
The injunction was given pending the determination of motion on notice filed by Ekemini Udim Esq, Counsel to Speaker Onofiok Luke.
The ruling by Hon. Justice Ekaete Obot ordered that the injunction be served on Nse Ntuen in person and also be pasted on every conspicuous part of the Assembly complex to forestall breakdown of law by the sacked lawmakers.
Ntuen, the Speaker of the five member faction of the State House of Assembly, had yesterday, alleged that the State Governor, Udom Emmanuel personally invaded the State Assembly with thugs.
Ntuen explained that the five factional state lawmakers which he was the Speaker have a hitch-free plenary on Tuesday before the governor, some of his aides and thugs invaded the Assembly.
