Alert: Benue man shares suicide note on social media

A Benue indigene who goes by the Facebook handle Oche Victor Bright Jnr, has shared his suicide note on the platform.

From the note spotted online by IDOMA VOICE correspondent, it is obvious the man, an Idoma native, has resolved to end his own life.

Another Facebook user, King Apeh Peterhot, who raised the alarm over the suicide note, appealed to the young man to reverse the decision.

He also said no one has spoken to the man since he made the suicide post.

Apeh Peterhot wrote:

“Suicide Note Alert!

This our brother, Oche Victor Jnr, posted this clear suicide note on his Facebook handle and I stumbled on it about an hour ago, so I decided to share it here to enable anyone close to him to help.

From his post’s comment section, as at the last time I checked, no one has spoken to him since he made the post, as his number has been reportedly busy (probably ringing from another caller?) or he’s not picking up when one scales through.

I want to personally appeal to Oche Victor Bright Jnr to not kill himself. Things change, events change, and there are many people who still need him and many places he can feel the essence of life and be happy. There are many great men today who had laggard misfortunes during their formative years, but ended up breaking through when they thought they would amount to nothing in life anymore. I can mention more than five billionaires on Forbes’ magazine’s billionaires’ list who contemplated suicide due to the biting compulsion of horrible poverty or misfortune, but are today’s movers of the world.

If you can garner the courage to kill yourself by your own hands, in that courage you’ve got enough to live and face whatever life throws at you.

Oche, I hope this appeal is not just too late already. Please, don’t commit suicide. We still need your input here on earth.
