The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, was bestowed with the prestigious United Nations’ 7 Developmental Goals Pin.

The esteemed recognition was presented by Ms. Amina Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, during a momentous ceremony held at the United Nations House in Abuja.

With overwhelming joy and humility, Governor Hyacinth Alia shared the incredible news of the honor, signifying his unwavering commitment, dedicated services, and persistent efforts in advancing the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within Benue State.

For him, the pursuit of these goals transcends the realm of dreams and takes the form of tangible actions with measurable outcomes.

The executive governor extended his heartfelt gratitude to the United Nations on behalf of the people of Benue State for this remarkable recognition. He pledged to remain steadfast in their collective commitment to advancing sustainable development not only in Benue but also beyond the state’s borders.
