Benue State Governor, Rev. Hyacinth Alia, has announced a N10 million bounty for individuals providing useful information leading to the arrest of suspects responsible for the recent attack on the Makurdi residence of Hon. Solomon Wombo, the Member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency.
The incident, which occurred last Saturday, saw hoodlums invading the lawmaker’s home, demanding to know his whereabouts. During the attack, one of his housekeepers was brutally assaulted, sustaining injuries.
In response, Governor Alia, through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, vehemently condemned the assault. He declared that his administration would not tolerate criminal activities targeting innocent citizens in the state. The governor vowed that every effort would be made to ensure the apprehension of the suspects, who will then face the full force of the law.
Alia urged the state’s security agencies to diligently pursue the suspects and bring them to justice swiftly. He also called for calm among the people of Benue State, assuring them that his administration remains resolute in its commitment to rid the state of all forms of criminality.
