Alleged death threat: Otukpa ‘Alekwu’ deity is after Hassan Saleh, not me – Mad Lion
The camp of Hon. Chris Adabah Abbah (Mad Lion) has responded to claims by his political opponent, Hassan Anthony Saleh over alleged threats on his life.
Hassan and Abbah have been at loggerheads after an Abuja court upturned the election of the latter as lawmaker representing Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency.
The inauguration of Saleh into the 8th House of Representatives, however, sparked violence in the area as constituents said they were tired of Saleh warming the bench at the national Assembly.
The aggrieved constituents maintained that they would rather stay without a representative than Saleh to continue to represent them.
However, Saleh in a statement earlier in the week accused Abbah, otherwise known as Mad Lion of sending his boys after him.
According to the statement, “I also want to bring to your notice, that my life and those of my supporters have been under persistent threat by CHRIS ADABAH ABBAH (a.k.a. Mad Lion) and his corhots, ever since my victory at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on 20th May 2015.
“I have more than enough evidence to prove my claim.“Though I have committed my life to the Almighty God – the Giver and Taker of lives; however, let it be on record that, CHRIS ADABAH ABBAH (a.k.a. Mad Lion) should be held responsible, should anything happens to me, my Family Members, my Personal Aides or any of my Supporters,” Saleh claim.
In a swift reaction, an associate of the respected philanthropist who gave his name as Fred said, “Saleh should not be taken seriously; he is a drowning man who is seeking side attention. We didn’t want to glorify him by responding to his baseless, misleading, and mischievous claims. Mad Lion is serious with the assignment of protecting the people’s dream and mandate Saleh wants to devour.
“You and I know Mad Lion can’t hurt a fly. Go to the streets of Benue and Nigeria at large to ask those who have ever encountered Mad Lion.
“He claims to have enough evidence. Let him channel it to the court of law not on the pages of newspapers.
“It is obvious that the Alekwu deity of Otukpa is after him for trying to tamper with the mandate of the people,” Fred told DAILY POST on phone Friday night.
Asked why Mad Lion has not responded to the allegation since, the associate said, “Like I said earlier, Hon. Abbah is busy trying to protect the mandate of the people Saleh is trying to devour. He has other things doing than to respond to baseless allegation that could not hold waters.
