Alleged N15m bribe: Seun Kuti urged VeryDarkMan to expose Bobrisky

Iconic singer Seun Kuti has disclosed his involvement in the ongoing controversy between crossdresser Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, and influencer Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

Recently, VeryDarkMan released a voice recording allegedly of Bobrisky, where he claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to have money laundering charges dropped. Bobrisky also allegedly claimed that instead of serving his six-month prison sentence, his godfather arranged for him to stay in a lodge.

Bobrisky, however, denied the allegations on Wednesday, asserting that the recording was fake and that he had served his prison term.

Reacting to the situation, Seun Kuti revealed that he had urged VeryDarkMan to go public with the allegations after learning about the recording. During an Instagram Live session, Kuti said, “You people are late to the party. I was the first person VeryDarkMan informed about the story. I gave him the go-ahead to expose Bobrisky.”

Meanwhile, the EFCC has summoned both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan to its Lagos office to assist in the investigation into the alleged N15 million bribe involving its officials.
