Alleged planned defection of Ortom: You are a dreamer – PDP bombs APC chair, Abba Yaro

Another round of rumours is ongoing in the mill about Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, decamping from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This time it was triggered by alleged hints from the Benue State Chairman of the APC, Abba Yaro, that he is confident the governor will soon be joining his party.
Media handlers of the governor have since debunked the rumours, quoting His Excellency himself as wondering why he should leave a stable and robust PDP to a disintegrating and rudderless APC.
Nevertheless, it is necessary for the Benue PDP to add its voice to the caveat already sounded to the public to beware of the antics of those behind the rumours.
While to some elements of the APC trading in those rumours may be occupational, considering that they have nothing doing for the time being, to Abba Yaro, the motive is very likely different.
As one who was known to have had the rosiest of times when Gov. Ortom was in the APC, living in fairy tale splendour, it is evident the life-time “Able Chair” of the Benue APC is only dreaming of a return to those days of “Onions and Cucumbers” in Peoples House.
We, therefore, urge the public to ignore this round of Abba Yaro fuelled rumours too, as they are no different from the others.
