‘Allow us save you’ – 2Baba’s brother begs singer amid marriage crisis
One of the brothers of Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly reached out to the singer amid growing allegations of turmoil in his marriage to his new wife, Natasha.
IDOMA VOICE reports that 2Baba’s former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, alleged during a Facebook Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze that the singer is trapped in a “toxic marriage.” He claimed that Natasha, who serves in the Edo State House of Assembly, has allegedly been physically abusive and has interfered with 2Baba’s business dealings.
Kaka further alleged that she controls the singer’s finances, struggles to account for money, and often fails to pay staff working with the award-winning artiste.
In a post shared via his Instagram story on Wednesday, 2Baba’s brother, Hyacinth, appealed to the musician to let his family “save him.” He also shared an audio snippet from a song reportedly recorded by 2Baba, in which the singer describes an independent woman who spends all his money and leaves him “with zero balance.”
Hyacinth praised his brother’s songwriting brilliance, noting that the lyrics—originally created for inspiration—appear to be playing out in real life.
“You’ve always been ahead. Always been brilliant. Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow, it is unfolding real time… Painful reality. Allow us save you, Oyinem, you have been suffering for too long. God knows,” he wrote.
