Popular lawyer and infleuncer, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, has reacted to the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Amaechi Mounagor.
IDOMA VOICE reports that the actor died on Sunday after battling renal failure.
Reacting, Iwuchukwu said the actor fought for his life but bowed when he could not longer withsatnd the paind.
He wrote, “Seeing Obosi-born Amaechi Mounagor in pain while crying out for financial assistance last week was very painful to watch.
“For the man who made my generation’s childhood colourful, he did not deserve to go through that pain, but he did because Nigeria does work for the majority of its citizens and does not have a buffer to take care of its aged, sick citizens.
“I dropped a tear or two after watching the video. It broke me.
“I just read on Twitter that the bedridden Nollywood actor has passed away.
“Free from the anguish and the pain that he went through. I believe he is in a better place.
“Where there is no pain or anguish, a place where he would not need to go through the pain that he did because he wanted to live.
“He fought for his life, but as a warrior who knew when to call it a quit, he gave up this evening.
“Dear Amaechi Mounagor, thank you for the memories and for being part of my childhood. It is sad that his generation of Nollywood stars is leaving, and we don’t have their replacement yet.
“Nobody has been able to fill the huge void left behind by my favourite actor, Sam Loco. Go well, sir.”
