Ameerah: Police give update on kidnap of tweep

The FCT Police Command has assured that it is working to free Ameerah Sufyan and other abductees.

On Tuesday, she raised an alarm via her Twitter account, @ameerah_sufyan.

The citizen alerted that she and 16 others were kidnapped at gunpoint by armed men in police uniform.

Ameerah disclosed the captives include three pregnant women and two children, all taken from different parts of Abuja.

Her tweet and the location she shared brought the incident to light, with Nigerians demanding their immediate rescue.

On Wednesday afternoon, the FCT command provided an update on the incident.

“The investigative & tactical apparatus on the case remains as discoveries are looking promising.

“Contact is maintained with her family to speed up investigation”, it reads.
