Comrade Ameh Enechojo (A.K.A Joy Ocean), the leader of Igalamela/Odolu Concerned Citizens group, a Non-Partisan Pressure Group seeking good governance in Kogi state and Nigeria at large has sent a Congratulatory Message to the Kogi state Governor-Elect, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and his Deputy HE Chief Edward Onoja.
Below is an excerpt of the message;
Your Excellency,
“On Behalf of the Leadership and Members of Igalamela/Odolu Concerned Citizens, A Non Partisan Pressure Group seeking good governance in kogi State, We congratulate His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, your Deputy Chief Edward David Onoja on your re-election as the Governor of Kogi State in the just concluded governorship elections held on Saturday 16th November 2019 under the platform of the All Progressive Congress(APC).
Your victory is a victory for all Imolites irrespective of political affiliation as it shows that the hand of the Almighty God is truly on our dear state. May your renowned brilliance not be eclipsed by greed and quest for selfish and personal aggrandizement. Your emergence and Re-election is a major pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy and not god-fatherism.
You contested the election against several qualified fellow sons of Kogi State whom I am confident also has the best interest of Kogi State at heart in offering up themselves for service and I believe they will continue to put the interest of our State first in all their actions.
Your campaign slogan of Rebuild Kogi and your New Directional policies is one which encapsulates the whole yearning of the masses and we expect that you will hit the ground running as you face this daunting task. The task ahead is enormous but the fact that you have goodwill from across board and your new and ever capable Deputy Chief Edward David Onoja should make the task a bit easy for you and we hope that you will use this goodwill to make Imolites proud of you.
Let your word be your bond. Let there be a positive difference seen and felt across the state. The best way to thank the Imolites for this mandate is by giving it your best shot and delivering on your campaign promises.
We want to respectfully remind you that you are here to represent the Kogites not your zone or family members. We urge you to dare to be different. A lot of trust and confidence has been bestowed upon you and we expect that you do not disappoint, as the youngest history track records Governor in Nigeria along with a Digital Deputy Governor we pray and expected every best from this government.
Once again, Congratulations Your Excellency and thanks for your tenacity, steadfastness and consistent courage.
Long live kogi state
Long live APC
Long live Governor Yahaya A. Bello
Long live Chief Edward David Onoja
Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria
