American Hip hop producer, Turn Me Up Josh is dead.

Rapper Lil Durk confirmed his death in a tweet on Twitter. “Rip turn me up josh smh,” Durk wrote in a post.

The multi-platinum producer and engineer, whose real name was Joshua Samuel was signed to Winners Circle Entertainment and worked closely with Durk and many other rappers.

While details surrounding the producer’s tragic death are yet to be made public, several fans, friends and former collaborators have paid their respects on Twitter and Instagram.

Turn Me Up Josh was heavily involved in the production behind Durk’s The Voice (Deluxe) edition.

He has several major production credits across hip hop and has collaborated with the likes of Drake, Migos, Nipsey Hussle, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Kehlani and more.

The Houston native first rose to prominence after engineering Migos’ breakout hit, “Versace.” He also engineered Metro Boomin’s “10 Freaky Girls” and earned a Grammy nomination for his production on Drake and Durk’s chart-topping collab, “Laugh Now Cry Later.”
