American Music Awards 2022: Wizkid beats Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, SZA, others to win Favorite R&B song

Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ featuring Tems have won the Favorite R&B song of the year at the just concluded American Music Awards.

According to the American Music Awards website, Wizkid “Essence” (feat. Tems) won “Favorite R&B Song” at the 2022 American Music Awards.

It is the first African song to win an AMA.

Also in the category is Beyoncé’s with “Break my soul”, Muni with “Long Hrs and Hrs, Silk Sonic, a duo of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak with “Smokin Out The Window” and SZA with “I hate U”.
