Legendary American rapper, Andre Romelle Young alias Dr. Dre, has reportedly been discharged from hospital after undergoing a successful brain surgery.

The former Death Row boss, who has been battling with brain aneurysm, was on Friday discharged but is expected to be closely monitored by medical practitioners who will be with him 24 hours a day as he recuperates.

The 55-year-old was at the same time also battling his with his estranged wife who is seeking to divorce him.

The California music executive was last week forced to pay the wife Nicole Young, millions as temporary spousal support.

Hoodlums also reportedly attempted to break into his Los Angeles home while he was still in hospital and scheduled to go for surgery.
