Amotekun operatives arrest father, daughter, recover human parts in Osun
Operatives of Osun Western Nigerian Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, have arrested Ganiyu Wasiu and his 21-year-old daughter, Muizzat, with fresh human parts.
Our correspondent gathered that the suspects were arrested at Oke-Fia area of Igege town in Olaoluwa Local Government Area while conveying the mutilated human parts in a ‘Ghana-Must-Go’ bag.
Ganiyu, who was prevented from being lynched by a mob, claimed he was set up by her daughter’s husband.
Field Commandant of Amotekun, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, said his men made other arrests aside from the two suspects.
He said: “Seven more suspects were arrested in Iwo town in connection with the fresh human parts. The identity of the corpse is yet to be known.
“We arrested Lawal Ibraheem (25), Adiatu Rufus (19), Fatola Niyi (45), Eniola Akeem(42), Chief Amusan (64), Alaba Oyeniran (31) and Oyekola Ibraheem (20).”
Amitolu noted that all the suspects have been handed over to the Department of State Service (DSS) for investigation.
