AMVCA 2024: Breath of Life wins Best Movie Awards

Breath of Life emerged triumphant, clinching the esteemed Best Movie accolade at the 10th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA). The film garnered a remarkable 11 nominations spanning various categories, including Best Movie, Best Director, and Best Lead Actor, ultimately securing victory in six.

Lead actor Wale Ojo earned the prestigious Best Actor title, while BB Sasore was honored with the Best Director award. Additionally, Ademola Adedoyin’s stellar performance garnered him the Best Supporting Actor recognition.

Genoveva Umeh’s portrayal earned her the distinction of Best Supporting Actress, while Grey Jones Ossai’s exceptional work in sound design earned him the Best Sound Design accolade.

Under the adept production of Eku Edewor, “Breath of Life” stands as a testament to the profound themes of faith and destiny.

Set amidst the evocative backdrop of the 1950s, the narrative follows the journey of Timi, portrayed with remarkable depth and conviction by Wale Ọjọ. Timi’s trajectory takes a transformative turn upon encountering Elijah, marking a pivotal moment that reshapes his purpose and destiny.
