Inter have confirmed the long-awaited arrival of goalkeeper Andre Onana on a free transfer.
Onana failed to agree on a contract extension with former employers Ajax and instead put pen to paper on a pre-contract deal with Inter all the way back in January ahead of his eventual departure from the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Six months later, Onana is finally an Inter player.
For the 26-year-old, the move to Inter is a chance to reignite a career that hit a massive stumbling block when he was banned for doping in 2021.
Onana has always argued that he accidentally consumed a banned substance but was still hit with a 12-month ban which was later reduced to nine months, not long after clubs across Europe were linked with £50m bids for the goalkeeper.
He played nine times in all competitions last summer upon his return and is now looking for a fresh start with Inter, where he will compete with 37-year-old club captain Samir Handanovic for regular minutes.
Inter have also completed the free signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Roma and the loan arrival of Kristjan Asllani, but their biggest piece of business is the deal to bring Romelu Lukaku back from Chelsea on a 12-month loan.
