Angry mob forces thief to eat raw pepper (Video)

A video showing a thief being punished for stealing shoes at a mosque has emerged online and went viral.

The unidentified man was reportedly caught red-handed stealing shoes at a mosque.

He had apparently been stealing the shoes for a while and many people had become victims of losing their footwear.

After being caught he was forced to eat a handful of raw pepper one after another.

The person who was recording the video appeared to be patient with him and told him that he will only be allowed to walk away if he finished all the pepper he had been given.

The thief confessed that he was involved in a syndicate where they steal shoes and then take them to their boss who in turn sells them.

Social media users expressed varied reactions to this unique method of punishment that seems to be more civilized and effective.
