Another child trafficker arrested in Benue

Some youths in Logo Local government Area of Benue State have arrested a suspected child trafficker and her accomplice.

Narrating the incident, humanitarian workers, Ukan Kurugh said the suspects are currently with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons

He narrated thus:

It was in the morning around 8.46am  yesterday a guy called me to a bursted trafficking ring around flight park makurdi. I was about to take my birth but I couldn’t wait as the voices from the background got me scared, so I drove to the place to see for myself.

A lady with 3 kids and another accomplice had been arrested by the youth and held down for me to come over, so immediately I arrived at the scene. I asked them both some questions but they couldn’t answer any while the children looked very hungry, and the youth did well by providing food for the kids.

I quickly put a call to the ever gallant Commandant of NAPTIP Mrs Gloria Bai and within 30mins her men came in with a bus to pick the suspect to their office.
God bless the youth of Logo II for always standing up to the challenges of insecurity we face around their area seriously.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that a woman was arrested a few weeks back while taking some kids to Lagos in the state.
