There is palpable tension in Benue State following the report of a suspected case of coronavirus in Konshisha Local Government Area of the state.
IDOMA VOICE observed that Benue State has not recorded any case since Susan Okpe was move from isolation centre in Makurdi to Abuja.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, Thursday, visited the LG and took samples of one Mr. Terpase, who was suspected to have shown symptoms of the deadly virus.
The result is still being awaited.
Meanwhile, many persons have faulted the decision of the state government to disclose the identity of the suspected case, saying it is unprofessional to have made the case known when the result is yet to be released.

Benue was d first state to mention the name of a patient….the drama is still everywhere on social media. Why our own things dey always dey different…..Na wa oooo.”
On her part, Olori Lydia Omoniyi Itamuko wrote, “What’s wrong with Benue State??? Is Benue State still in 1800???what right does Benue state has revealing the identity of covid19 patient, this one is even suspected case… Someone somewhere is trying to justify something Sha… This is so wrong. Benue state still has a long way to go.”
Comfort Onah Okpenge wrote, “This is wrong. Why is Benue not learning from other States on how to handle these cases? Terrible.
