A new video has surfaced online after a 16-year-old student in Zimbabwe accused a 33-year-old schoolteacher of inappropriate conduct during a private tutoring session.

The footage, recorded by the student and now widely shared on social media, shows him recounting how he approached the teacher for extra assistance in mathematics.

According to his narration, he was invited to the teacher’s home for additional lessons, where the alleged misconduct took place.

The clip has reignited heated public discussions on student safety, professional ethics, and the responsibilities of educators.

Child rights advocates have called for immediate inquiry into the matter, stressing that safeguarding minors must remain a top priority.

Authorities, however, are yet to confirm whether a formal investigation has been launched.

As the video continues to circulate, pressure is mounting on education and child-protection agencies to intervene promptly.

Meanwhile, Cindy, the teacher at the center of the controversy, has released a statement denying any intentional wrongdoing.

She claimed she was “wrongfully detained” and called for her immediate release, describing the incident as accidental. According to her statement, she was tutoring the student in mathematics, a subject he had been struggling with, and had no improper intentions.

Cindy, who says she has over a decade of teaching experience, expressed shock at the public backlash. She noted that she believes many judged her before hearing her side of the story and thanked those who have supported her during the ongoing investigation.

She concluded by reiterating that the situation “was purely an accident” and urged the public to avoid drawing conclusions until the full facts are established.
