Anti-peace members have left PDP – Abba Moro
The Senate Minority Leader and senator representing Benue South, Abba Moro, has said the internal crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gradually subsiding, noting that members who opposed reconciliation have exited the party.
Moro made the remarks while speaking during the PDP national convention held in Abuja, where party leaders gathered to address key issues affecting the opposition platform.
According to him, individuals who were unwilling to embrace peace had already negotiated their way out of the PDP.
“Those who insisted that there would be no peace in the PDP have all negotiated their way out of the party. We now have only two governors,” he said.
He also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for remaining loyal to the party despite the prolonged crisis.
“Wike has remained steadfast in the PDP. He must be commended,” Moro added.
The statement comes amid ongoing efforts by party stakeholders to stabilise the PDP ahead of future political activities.
