APC chieftain, Noah McDickson writes open letter to Gov Ortom over deplorable state of Olengbecho-Ekeh, Ajide, Olanyega- Ugbokolo road
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Elder Noah McDickson, has written an open letter to the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom over the ugly state of the roads from Olengbecho-Ekeh, Ajide, Olanyega- Ugbokolo as well as floodings in Ugbokolo town in Okpowku LGA of the state.
The respected elder in the letter, urged the governor to kindly use your good offices to as a matter of urgency fix the roads as they have almost become death traps and impassable by motorists
The letter reads below.
OPEN LETTER
To
His Excellency
DR SAMUEL ORTOM
ON THE DEPLORABLE STATE OF THE ROADS FROM OLENGBECHO-EKEH, AJIDE, OLANYAGA- UGBOKOLO
&
FLOODINGS IN UGBOKOLO TOWN
Sir,
I hope this letter meet you well.
As a critical stakeholder and indigene of our beloved Benue state, it is my sincere desire to call your attention to the deplorable state of the road from Olengbecho-Eke, Olanyega and Ugbokolo that connects the South Eastern states of Nigeria.
Ordinarily, I would have drawn the attention of some of your aides, but I felt I should bring it to your notice since I know you to be a considerate and listening governor.
Your Excellency sir, it is an absolute truism that Benue state is the food basket of the nation, and that implies that agriculture remains the mainstay of the state’s economy.
It is on this premise that I respectfully appeal to you to fix the road so that the rural dwellers could easily transport their farm produce to the urban centres. If the roads are fixed, it will certainly add value to the state’s economy and Nigeria at large.
Your Excellency sir, you should kindly use your good offices to as a matter of urgency fix the roads as they have almost become death traps and impassable by motorists.
I also wish to draw your attention to the incessant floodings in Ugbokolo town.
The floodings have forced many people from their homes. As a matter of fact, most of the people affected by the flood are currently displaced, and no presence of the State Emergency Management Agency ( SEMA).
Sir, these issues raised needs urgent attention so as to move the state forward.
Thank you.
Best regard,
Elder Noah McDickson,
Public Affairs Analyst.
