A frontline aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives ticket in the Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, Comrade Andrew Agbo Abu, has held a strategic meeting with party stakeholders and ward executives in Awumeh, aimed at deepening unity and strengthening grassroots support.

Speaking during the engagement, Abu urged party members to intensify mobilization efforts toward the re-election of Hyacinth Alia, stressing the need for sustained collaboration with the Federal Government to fast-track development across Benue State.

He appreciated the continued backing from his constituency, describing it as a strong motivation for his commitment to people-focused leadership and service delivery.

The APC chieftain also used the forum to educate stakeholders on the principles of the O’TÓLÉ BI ideology, encouraging them to spread its message of accountability, transformation, and inclusive growth across communities in the constituency.

Abu expressed confidence in Governor Alia’s leadership, noting that the administration is working diligently to reposition the state for sustainable development.

He added that the government is focused on rebuilding public trust weakened over the years and remains committed to delivering on its promises, particularly in Ohimini.

Highlighting key appointments benefiting the area, he cited the emergence of Chief Benjamin Omale as State Party Chairman, alongside Dr. Ogwuche as Commissioner for Health and the Special Adviser on Works. He also commended Council Chairman, Mr. Gabriel Adole, for his grassroots-driven leadership in Awumeh.

On infrastructure, Abu pointed to the ongoing rehabilitation of roads linking Onyagede, Awumeh, and Idekpa as clear signs of progress. He further noted that the administration’s “5km per Local Government” road initiative would enhance rural access, boost farming activities, and stimulate local economies.

Looking ahead, he said the O’TÓLÉ BI 20-year development blueprint offers a structured plan to tackle poverty, empower youths, and drive long-term growth, with families and communities playing vital roles in achieving these objectives.

In a brief solemn remark, Abu condoled with APC members in Ogbadibo Local Government Area over lives lost during the recent zonal convention, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased.

He concluded by calling for unity among the Idoma people and within the APC in Benue State, urging members to remain committed to the shared vision of progress under the Alia/Odeh leadership.
