A former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Benue state on Security Matters in Zone C and APC chieftain in Okpokwu LGA, Amb Elaigwu O Frank (DSP retd) and Hon.Ochoche Daniel, Vice Chairman of APC in Agatu LGA has defected from their erstwhile party to the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue state.
They were formally received into the PDP by the state Chairman of the party, Hon John Ngbede during a brief ceremony at the state Secretariat of the party in Makurdi.
In a remark, Hon Ngbede said the party will treat all members and stakeholders equally in Benue state and called on them to remain supportive of the Gov Samuel Ortom administration .
The defectors said the fled the APC to PDP because of the protracted undemocratic acts and impunity ravaging the party .
The former APC chieftains had earlier joined the PDP at the ward level and a date has been fixed for their decamping ceremonies in their council areas.
Those who witnessed the ceremony includes Dr. Joe Nyam ,state secretary of PDP , members of the state working committee and Local Government chairmen of the party, Hon Ejembi Ogwuche, Media Adviser to the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, Benue State, said in a statement.
